Our Mission

Supporting Third-Born Students

The Third in Line Foundation provides renewable scholarships to third-born children who are third in their family to attend college—students often overlooked when family resources have been stretched by older siblings' educational expenses.

We believe that birth order shouldn't determine educational opportunity. Whether you're the third, fourth, or fifth child in your family, if you're watching your older siblings head off to college and wondering how your family will afford to send you too, we want to help.

Who Can Apply

Eligibility Requirements

Third-Born (or Later)

You must be the third, fourth, fifth (or later) child in your family.

Third to College

At least two siblings must have attended college before you.

Denison University

Must be an incoming freshman at Denison University for Fall 2026.

US Citizen

Applicants must be United States citizens.

3.33+ GPA

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.33 on a 4.0 scale.

High School Senior

You must be a current high school senior planning to enroll in fall.

The Award

Renewable Scholarship

$3,333 per semester

Renewable for up to four years with 3.33 GPA maintained. Award amounts may increase as the foundation grows. All awards are based on demonstrated need and available funds.
